Make Sure That What You Think is ‘The Right Thing’ is a God Thing!

Sometimes you won’t have an understanding of your situation or get the revelation until you enter the presence of God.

If we take decision making, for example: sometimes we think our decisions are the right thing before we’ve laid them before The LORD.

When what we think is the ‘right thing’, is actually the wrong thing, then the right thing can even seem oppressive when we don’t have the revelation to accompany our decision if not birthed in our prayer closet.

Why? Because the flesh and its desires will fight what God has put in our spirit if what is in our flesh is still more important to us than ‘seeking first the Kingdom of God’. (Matt 6:33).

‘Growing up’ in The LORD is all about submitting the flesh and dying to self. It’s knowing that putting God first is having a heart after God. That means that my desires are first and foremost what God desires and my will is totally unconditionally submitted to God’s will.

My desire becomes that which pleases GOD above all else.

Remember that the heart is the seat of our will and that to be in God’s will our heart must be aligned with the will of God, not just our spirit.

Every decision we make that affects our life and relationships and God’s House, must be honestly sought in prayer.

We have to be careful that wounded unhealed areas of our life don’t cause blindness in the decisions we make.

What do I mean?

Often if we’ve lacked attention or recognition in areas of our life we can make decisions that satisfy those areas of the flesh without realizing we are blinded by our need for those areas that were lacking, to be satisfied.

Spiritual blindness is caused when we refuse to yield or surrender those areas of our life to God. We may think we have, but the proof is always in the choices we make.

Choices direct our future.

Are the decisions you are making in your life right now, a God thing or a flesh thing?

Make sure that your choice is birthed in prayer. Journey with your overseers for big decisions, let them pray with you. Don’t let old roots attach themselves to your decision-making process. Those roots manifest the fruit of the flesh, not the fruit of the Spirit.

In all things, we must bring ourselves to The LORD. Only when we are willing to yield those things birthed in the old flesh to God, is the blindness removed because the blindness is a stronghold.

It’s in the presence of God that we are laid bare as we yield ourselves unconditionally to The LORD which manifests in the DOING of God’s will above ALL else. It’s in the presence of God that the darkness flees because it is exposed by the light of our God which has the power to break the chains of oppression.

It’s only when we choose to enter into God’s presence, open to hear and open to receive in every area of our life that God’s will is fully realized.

Psalm 73:16 “When I tried to understand all this, it troubled me deeply till I entered the sanctuary of God;…”

Romans‬ ‭8:27‬ ‭‭“And the one who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”
