Jedevotional-zaisus won the victory for us. Jesus paid the price for us through the cross, and Jesus rose in victory.

You and I have been redeemed through Christ Jesus. We sometimes live upon a wishlist, wishing that we could live a trouble-free life. Wishing we could have made choices that would not have brought us to a specific area in our lives.

We complain about others not giving us what we have asked for, or meeting us where we are at. We grumble about circumstances that we have absolutely no control over.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6 -7  NIV)

This scripture tells me that God has got my back. It’s assuring me that I have nothing to worry about, because there is a peace that comes with trusting in the Lord, and knowing that God will come through for me.

It also helps me strengthen my relationship with the Lord, with prayer and thanksgiving, because it causes me to be Heaven-focused and not problem-focused. My covenant with Jesus and Holy Spirit draws me closer to the things of God, and slowly the wishlist diminishes.

I know we all have had times in our lives and sometimes more than others when we felt distant from God, we overwhelmed by our circumstances and that’s all we seem to think about or dwell on. God has not distanced God’s self from us , but we have moved away from God.

This is the perfect time to lower yourself on your knees and seek to rekindle the covenant you made with Christ Jesus, and live in the peace of God. When we realise the relationship we have with Christ Jesus is far more powerful than any obstacles we may face, we then begin to live a life of victory.

The words we speak come through with conviction and authority. The steps we take to move forward are taken by faith.

Today I want to encourage you that God wants eagerly to walk with you and I, to spend time with us every day, and to have communion with us, and to pour out God’s unconditional love and peace.
